Guest guest
My children are 11 and 13; 110 and 130 lbs. They are on dose 16 or so 25 mg dmsa; no fillings. I did the DDI tests and got some feedback here and on A-M. No side effects at all, no complaints but I'm worried about the end of this round. I want to go for 6 days this first round and then take a week off, is this okay? I presume that the longer stretches on and off will result in less redistribution. They are supplementing. Second question: I'm worried about the initial days after this first round- how can I support any discomfort, can I minimize redistribution somehow by doing SOMETHING? Thanks for any input. Guest guest
I would not run 6 day rounds on children. And not in the beginning of chelation. This is their first round...I would stick with the protocol of 3 days at this point. The longest I would say is four days, and I have only done that twice on my son after he had 10 rounds of 3 days. This was at the advice of Andy, for what to do when a child is having a hard time in between rounds, and is getting a lot of symptoms back between the rounds. The body needs time off to rebuild even with supplements. The yeast gets insane after just three days. The immune systems in under stress during chelation as are the liver. Going to long with rounds will make this worse. You don't want to end up with low neutrophils. Doing longer rounds is not going to minimize redistribution. You will still have that at the end anyway. How you minimize the discomfort (if there is any, some people don't have any) is by giving more vitamin C..and continuing with all the vitamins on Andy's list for chelation. Usually for us, it's only the first two days after the round, the kids are a bit irritable. Not sick though. Just grumpy. This is when I give more vitamin C and make sure there probiotics and antifungals are increased to deal with the yeast. > > My children are 11 and 13; 110 and 130 lbs.
