I also forgot to mention a few things that may be of interest to

some.

I did have many obstacles and ups/downs. I found P5P really gave me a

boost, I had 10-25mg 2x day. Other than that there was just the odd

thing I needed to take for periods of time to get over

issues/symptoms. These never lasted long. I did also have the 9 month

rough patch of chelating nothing or feeling like that with no

progress. Then every 3 months or so I would hit a rough patch that

felt like the peeling onion saying. When it seemed as though some

mercury was released.

When stopping DMSA the first time I found ALA alone did not seem to

clear me. When I say that I used to feel good on round and at the end

I felt as though something had been cleared. On ALA alone to begin

with I did not get this so I switched back to including DMSA again. 6-

8 weeks I tried again and this time I was ok.

I started to tolerate alcohol at round 80-85. Before this was an

absolute no, even a sip of vodka at round 50 ish left me very

drained. At round 80-85 I started with a glass every so often of

organic red wine. I believe it has practically 0g sugar left if thats

of any interest to people with reactions to sugar. Now I can tolerate

getting very drunk, (once in a while at a special occasions).

Otherwise I just share a bottle of wine with my wife.

My libido was something that came back late on around round 90. I did

have the odd patch where it seemed to come and go before then. But at

around round 90 it was permament.

In terms of my diet now, I avoid all the polyunsaturated fats fried

or in margarines etc. I just have some udo oil, olive, coconut with

foods. I eat sourdough rye bread every other day. Rice most days,

potatoes a few times, some pasta although this is the gluten free

kind, just a personal choice. The odd bit of white or brown wheat

based bread. Organic biscuits made with palm oil, organic flapjacks

made with butter. The odd chinese or indian meal. The odd cake. This

is what I always looked for when speaking to people about

candida/dysbiosis etc. When can I go back to being normal as such or

maybe put another way tolerate foods that others can. It never

happened until I chelated enough. I don't know if anyone recovered

other ways, I personally never came across anyone over the last 4

years.

I think thats everything that would be of interest to people.

Thanks again Phil. Very interesting, and incredibly encouraging and

inspiring. It's just amazing how long it takes, isn't it? But once

progress is made, it's real and solid and fundamental.

Your post makes me realize that at 6-7 months into chelation, I'm just a

baby. 6-7 months seems like a long time to me, and I keep feeling as though

I should have made more progress by now than I have. But your message gives

me great encouragement to just keep going as I've been doing.

What's P5P?
