Guest guest
Hey guys Just wanted to say how nice it is to receive informative, supportive messages everyday when I get home from the hospital. I read many to my parents. They are staying with me currently as my place is 15 minutes from the hospital and theirs is 1 1/2 hours. Amy was given a drug to hopefully get the small bowel going yesterday. So far nothing has happened of course! She is on a very high dosage of morphine (100mg every 4 hours as well as 3mg every 5 minutes if needed). She calls her pump " Gracie " , her Grace from God! She seems to be getting quite down and VERY tired. It has been 9 days since surgery and two weeks this coming Saturday that she has been in the hospital. Still no bowel sounds. It is possible her bowel has completely stopped working?? , Deb and Ingrid, thank you for your very informative info and ene for all of your supportive messages. Well thank you to all of you for your support. Amy is scared to ask questions because she gets answers she doesn't want to hear. But we are all wondering what is going to happen next.....what drug can they try, will they do surgery again, why does this horrible disease still exist??!!! hugs peta
Guest guest
Peta, So sorry that Amy is still not responding in the bowels. Maybe soon. My heart goes to her. As for her being so tired and down, the surgery alone would take it out of her. Then all the morphine added to that. Have the doctors decided yet what they will do next? I am Praying very hard for her. Ingrid > Hey guys > > Just wanted to say how nice it is to receive informative, supportive > messages everyday when I get home from the hospital.
