Guest guest
Deb, Yes, labored breathing occurs frequently with CHF. It is caused from the buildup of fluid (the congestion). Humid weather also affects it. She made need an extra dose of a diuretic or breathing treatment. The best thing is to call her doc. Good luck! Guest guest
I don't have CHF I have COPD.. CHF is too much fluid around heart, and lungs also fill up - which is what causes the labored breathing. In COPD it is the production of mucous in the throat that causes the breathing problem, and folks have to take meds to thin the mucous so it can be coughed up and eliminated. This junik in my throat is really giving me grief lately. Never used to bothered with it much at all.. Drat.. but sure bothers me now. Woke up at 3 a.m. wheezing so bad... Tried my inhaler etc, and finally two cups of hot tea helped so I can breathe decent again. Cheers Jolene mary hilbrand wrote: > Deb, > Yes, labored breathing occurs frequently with CHF.
