It's considered bad to use anytime, not just while chelating.

why is this? could someone explain?

Chlorella has a single thiol in its chemical structure. This makes

it good at grabbing mercury loosely and bouncing it around in the

body causing more damage. It does not chelate. Many people have

reported problems with chlorella use.

It is also prone to contamination with mercury.

thanks for your reply, just to clarify so even if the source is pure

and the company test their chlorella for contamination is it still not

good to use? as some companies do grow their chlorella in a non toxic

environment and screen their chlorella i think.

many thanks jim

Jim, the answer is yes. It's still not good to use.

My reaction was absolutely horrific... And being the

desperate ill person I even tried it twice , a year apart

with different chlorella..So I am a good indicator ..

I vomited just like I had food poisoning for over five

hours and the same exhaustion too.. Never never again.... ---

Just a reminder, this is the frequent dose chelation group, which follows

Cutler's protocol, and chlorella is NOT part of the protocol here. So if you're

using it, you're not following the protocol. Adult Metal is not limited to

Cutler's protocol, so it would be more appropriately discussed over there,

especially if you are using it or thinking of trying it (which I wouldn't

recommend).

Huggins also warns against using chlorella in his books. I believe he said he's

received over 1000 phone calls from people after having a bad reaction to it.

So Andy is not the only one warning against it. Some people here have shared

their stories also. And explained that it is a single thiol sulfury

thing, so it weakly grabs mercury and moves it around, causing redistribution

and worse symptoms. The chelators are double thiols, and hold on to the mercury

much tighter, allowing it to be moved out of the body more readily. It is

possible/probable that the people who react the most severely are the ones who

have high plasma cysteine, and need to limit their intake of sulfury foods and

supplements. So bottom line is, even if it's not contaminated, it still is not

recommended here.------------Jackie
