Hi Geeta!Robin and Good Morning America transmitted from Mombai today. It was beautiful. There was a group of dancers in wonderful bright colors. I must have missed the part about a holiday. I was dressing for work and just caughts bits and snatches of what she was saying but I loved the dancers.I hope you have a glorious time. all over India celebrate this festival with joy and fervour, they move on the streets in groups with friends and relatives splashing color on each other, they use clorful hand pumps or water filled balloons or simply powders to splash each other , there is great fun and revelry the entire day, men often drink a native drink called 'bhang,' chilren have their own fun, as do adults. later they have sweets and eat to their hearts content1> It is a publice holiday!> Though some like me stay away from all this boisterous activities .I watch all this from a distance and when my children were younger i watched them having fun.> Sometimes things get out of hand and quite a few land up in hospitals with their eyes damaged or some such injury., most look forward to Holi and have good fun!!> > Geeta>
