Sorry to hear you have to make a complete change of genre. If your

crime novels sell well, then you'd think they would keep you in the

same genre so your fan base knows what to expect from your novel.

Re: covers, a person I know on another list just had her fantasy novel

published in German and she was sent a copy. The cover has a unicorn

on it and there are absolutely NO unicorns in her book at all. It's a

nice cover, just a bit off topic.

P.S. Sorry to hear about Zehava. I had times like that when I was a

teenager. I hope it all settles down soon for her.

That's exactly the problem; the 2nd crime novel didn't sell as well

as the first, and apparently there has been some kind of kickback

against violent thrillers in the Jewish market, so the two combined

made my publishers think again about the genre. They are publishing

my 3rd crime book (well I HOPE they are!!!) and if it sells well, I

may have a reprieve, otherwise they will wait and see if the appetite

for crime thrillers returns.

I know exactly what I want for this third crime book; let's hope the

graphic despigner gets it right this time; I am going to be a LOT

more fussy and not just agree to anything.

Zehava's home and fine :)
