Guest guest
Hi Robin: I've had the same metalic taste for about 10 months now. I too have worked with a dentist to remove all amalgam from the mouth....I actually had most of my amalgam removed 8 years ago....so I'm also wondering what could be causing this metalic taste. In my case, I think my cavitations might be a contributing factor. If I eat certain things (I'm not always aware of what) I get the taste much worse but I do have it all the time....so much so I haven't been able to drink wine for a year because it tastes like vinegar. I will have my cavitations and root canals cleaned within the next few months then I can report back and tell you if it made a difference. I'm also hoping after chelation that the mercury will be reduced and this will help also. Checking your mouth for cavitations might be something to try if chelation doesn't fully solve this problem. Let us know what happens with this. Donna

Guest guest
Is anyone with this symptom sure they do not have amalgam in a root canaled tooth? No amalgam tattoos (tiny pieces of amalgam in the gum, or cheek? Do you have any metal at all, as in crowns, caps, or partials. Just a thought, since it seems the only time this side effect is noted is when there is undiscovered metal in the mouth.--- In frequent-dose-chelation , " DD " wrote: > > Hi Robin: > > I've had the same metalic taste for about 10 months now. Guest guest
I never thought much about it at the time, but supposedly those who do a ketogenic or low carbohydrate type diet tend to have a metallic taste in their mouths. Wonder if it's related to the release of mercury from fat cells or if it's something else. Mike > > Is anyone with this symptom sure they do not have amalgam in a root > canaled tooth? Guest guest
funny you should mention metal in mouth; i'd assumed that my mercury-free dentist took every bit of amalgam out but i called to make sure and learned that he took all the mercury out that he could " see " . but there are 9 (!) porcelain crowns that " may " have mercury under them (probably so it would seem) so now i'm scheduled to have porcelain crowns put in. (i ASSUME porcelain crowns are okay for chelation... the mercury dentist i found here in bend, oregon says he will also address the " build-up " underneath, use rubber dams and all that stuff...) ayhoo, that would explain the metal taste :-/ btw, i ordered mr. cultlers' book a few weeks ago but still have not received it. i eagerly await it so i can learn about this stuff... ~robin
Guest guest
Hi Robin The metal taste your experiencing is one I had for about 13 months. That taste completely left once I had my dental work done 12 months ago and has only returned since starting this chelation protocol. I have an upcoming dental appointment next month and will check with my dentist again regarding any trace amalgam left in the gums, as I have full dentures. Guest guest
Hi Michele That you're experiencing the metal taste now you're chelating would suggest it's due to the stirring up of metals in your body - which I think is true for me as well. Mine is better, almost gone when I chelate, but comes roaring back off round. So bizarre. Nice to know I'm not alone though. I've ordered 3 books, directly from Andy's site, and they all came within days. Unless you ordered it from somewhere else... but I would still double check with the source you ordered it from. " Weeks " is too long, especially for Oregon.

Guest guest
---I am another feloow metal mouth sufferer (9 months into DMSA chelation) and I definitely do not have any amalgam tatoos, crowns, amalgam bits or anything else. I have had a Panoramic scan to confirm this too. I've had the metal taste on and off since starting chelation. I'd love to know what causes it and if many of Andy's clients have the same problem?
