Guest guest
I have posted here before. I have had four amalgam fillings replaced with composites over the course of 3 months(last Oct-Dec) I have been feeling really tired and weird sensations in my head at times. I am spacey and disoriented at times. I did not have the testing done before the fillings were replaced( I know I should have done this first). But afterwards I thought maybe the fillings are the cause so I had a Clifford test completed and I just got the results today from the dentist. He said it came back that I tested positive for some of the materials he used on me. He said he would replace the fillings at half the cost but he could not guarantee that I would feel any better. I don't know if I feel this way because of the fillings or if I rec'd mercury exposure. Finacially, this would be a big cost- I still need to get a crown replaced. Any thoughts anyone. Thanks Sheila

Thanks Sheila ---------I'm just curious, did he tell you which materials you reacted to? Because after we talked about this the first time, I recently remembered that someone posted about having a problem with composites that had Bisphenol A in them, and I think she had to get them replaced. You could search onibasu using Bisphenol A and see what you come up with. Anyway, back to your situation. Tough call, because like the dentist said, there is no guarantee. And if you're not sure what is causing the symptoms, you could wait, at least awhile, and see what happens. And if you can't afford to do it right away, I would wait on these and get the crown done, so you can start chelating. If you don't start feeling better after starting chelation, then I would seriously think about getting the composites replaced with biocompatable materials. Even if you can't do it real soon, at least you have the information now, and can have them replaced with safe materials next time. So do the crown, start chelating, and then go from there.--------Jackie

So I am assumming this would include Bisphenol A. I will have to ask my dentist if he used this. I am struggling to decide what to do. I thought about just replacing a couple then do the crown see if that helps. Ugghh, the thought of having to replace my fillings- who likes to go to the dentist. On the positive side, at least they were not all crowns. I may have to dip into my 401K to fix this. Oh well, Thanks again. I found a post by the person I had mentioned, and it has links about BPA. I'm sure this is a tough call, but if you're sure you are mercury toxic, (I can't remember if you've had a hair test or what), and really want to get on with chelation, then I would go ahead and get the cown done, so you can start chelation. This may help you feel better also. Then, as you can afford to do so, I would get the composites replaced with safe materials for you. I think getting the mercury out first and getting started chelating is more important than replacing those composites right now. JMO, and of course, you'll have to make your own decision. Good luck----------Jackie http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/adult-metal-chelation/message/34054 >
