Guest guest
Hi Sharon Rising CEA could be due to some other problem but the tests will tell for sure I forget whether you had surgery that would be the first thing I'd suspect as far as non-cancer related. Anything else different? stress? ulcer? I hope and pray it is not cancer and if it is that it will be easily treated and you will be back to some sense of normal soon. You've been such a support to me I am just hoping and praying all goes well for you A big cyber hug to you and my prayers tonight. Hang in there Narice
Guest guest
Hi, I do not post much but am more of a lurker. Last August I completed my chemo treatments for stage 4 colon cancer and was declared cancer free. As you may remember from earlier posts I have been having trouble the past 4-5 months or so. In May my CEA was elevated to 3.4 now this month it is elevated to a 9. I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow and a PET Scan again on Friday (I had one in May). Does anyone know of any reason that my CEA would be rising if my cancer is not back? I am having similar symptoms to those that sent me to the doctor in the first place back in 2004. Guest guest
Sharon, Don't worry so much right now. Wait and see what all the tests will show. I know easier said then done. I fretted so much when my CEA went up. Of course they found the reason soon enough and took it out. Now am healing. Feeling anxious till I have another CEA. But can only trust that God will take care of me. He will take care of you too!!! Ingrid > Hi, I do not post much but am more of a lurker.
