Karima, I am so sorry you had the diarrhea problem. I do hope you

enjoyed your Birthday and visit with your daughter in spite of it.

You had an extremly long drive home. Wonderful that you still had the

energy after that drive to go to your party. You are a tough lady. I

admire that in you. Happy Belated Birthday!!! Ingrid

> For all of you who know I was meeting my daughter in DC yesterday

for my birthday (she flew in from SF on business); we had a great

time and a most wonderful dinner.

>

> Fortunately I had apprised her of the ups and downs of bowel

resections so when we got back to the room and her toilet plugged up

and overflowed (arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggg)and we had to call for

maintenance which took forever to come and do. I sat in a chair with

the worst diarrhea I ever had in my life and it came through my

clothes. Sometimes I feel like it isn't worth going anywhere. We

managed fine and even after an 8 hour drive coming home today, I did

go to a small party in my honor. God does give us the strength,

doesn't he.

Oh Lordy what luck you would have that her toilet would plug up and over

flow. What a bummer.. But otherwise sounds like you made the trip

really well.

Nice to have a little party for you... Yes God does give you strength -

you made it all just fine. Good for you... Jolene

Thanks for commisserating with me. I finally nailed it about what it is that

bother me so much and it is the humiliation. Your are out of control, you

stink, you're getting dirtier by the minutes and it hurts and burns too. But it

is a truly true that once it is over, it is over. I had the greatest party with

friends last night and an absolutely wonderful church service where I did a solo

on " County Your Blessings. "

Of course since I immodiumed last night 3 tablets , now we go through the

constipation so I bit the bullet and at a container of cantaloupe and it surely

did the job, a little too well but small price to pay to get things movings.

Does everyone on this list have to contend with this stuff?

A few yeses would help me so much.

Love to all,

Karima

Fruit of the Loom; so then I should be a stock holder of Depends...I hardly ever

wear regular underwear; I wonder if that will ever change. I sure hope so.
