We live 100 miles from my doctors. And we are in the rural part of the country. There are no gas stations or anything for miles at a time, and yes, there are woods to go into, but this gal ain't going in there with the ticks, chiggers, copperheads, etc. If we were able to find a gas station, I wouldn't be able to walk into it, find the bathroom and get there in time. I'd end up having an accident by the time I grabbed the front door. And let's face it, we don't get much help from doctors on these every day problems! I ask questions about ways to handle problems I'm having and I get these looks like, " I saved your life. You're alive, what the heck more do you want? " Uh, quality? if possible? If not possible, fine, I'll handle it. But I think the ingenuity of everyday people is largely overlooked by the medical profession. Yes, they are educated and know their business and thank God they do, and are there for us.
