Guest guest
Just thought I'd pop in ... mostly because it's great to have this group as a supportful resource! I am in the middle of round 6 of ALA only. I am a little more than 5 months post amalgam removal. So far everything is going well .. except for one thing that I'll get to in a minute. Lately my rounds have gone ... first day ... don't feel much different ... second day tired and kind of spacey ... third day fine except still a little spacey ... first day after: great .... second day after: very tired ... third day after and " then on " ... great. So I guess I am handling the ALA by itself for now. Oh .. I am on only 3 mg. ... but as I am in the early stages of that " dump phase " ... according to the chart ... I am leery about raising my dose right now. My twitching/tingling seems to be lessening a hair ... less tingling now ... and some occasional muscle thumpers. Currently am taking a lot of Vitamin C (maybe 8 grams worth per day) ... a cal-mag 1:1 supplement (about 1200 mg. per day) and also started a sublingual B12 tablet ... about 2000 mg. per day divided ... it has folic acid in it as well. I think the B12 really helped with reducing the tingling. Must investigate this further. Plus all the other recommended AI supplements. Only thing is that this round ... I have the worst sore throat. Don't feel " sick " .... and actually ... feel less tired on this second day than during previous rounds (still a little spacey, but not bad this time) ... but my throat feels like sandpaper. No fever or swollen glands. Am wondering if my LPR is kicking back in (it's been bugging me on and off since starting ALA) ... or do I have a throat infection ... or just some virus. Or is it just a side effect from the ALA? Who knows. But it's ticking me off. Needed to pop a couple of aspirin last night just to get it calmed down enough so I could get my lovely interrupted-in-the-middle-of-the-night sleep. Anyhoo ... thanks for all your support!
