--------Yes. It is always ok to dose the chelators more frequently, and when

people add in the ALA with the DMSA, they just dose them at the same time, using

the ALA dosing schedule, every 3 hours, and possibly 4 overnight.---------Jackie

Should it still total 18 doses in total or should it

be given for a total of 72 hours implying that it would be more than

18 doses in the latter case?

------------The *exact* number of doses on a round is not critical. Andy says

a round should be a minimum of 3 days, and they have discussed a few hours

shorter on A-M is ok too, because of school schedules, etc. If you can get a

couple more doses in on a round, that is fine. Remember, some of us who do well

on rounds, actually do longer rounds, after we have had some experience. So

don't worry about the exact number of doses, that is not critical. The *timing*

of the doses is what is criticial, with a small amount of flexibility there

too.--------Jackie

DMSA. I tried every 4 hours but got too many symptoms. I have to dose

every 3 hours even at night.
