Guest guest
wow I would have never thought of that. don't know about doing it though. karima Re: Finally talked to Dr >>>You do know I had to go into a gas station bathroom to wash my slacks and then walked shamefacedly back to my car dripping wet. Guest guest
Praying for you Hil. You are lucky to have your daughters; 2 of mine have abandoned me. But I do have Jesus. Karima (and I have my dogs) Re: Finally talked to Dr Hil, I guess it is good that they will do the procedure on Tuesday hopefully. Will the balloon stretch keep it stretched or is it just a temporary solution?

Guest guest
I do even if I have not gone as it is the only way I can make it to my Dr appts which is the only time usually I even go out of the house. Actually with my Dr appt Tuesday I took two Monday night and two Tuesday morning. I was not sure I was going to make it home but got here about 4 PM and just made it in time to start and kept going all night. Of course I had stopped on way home and had dessert at Cracker Barrel while we waited for our dinners to take out and then picked up a Starbucks Cappichino:) I can't eat a meal out because I can only eat a little at a time or I start running for the bathroom. Also if I know I have to go out I don't eat anything except maybe a slice of toast. I don't think they really stop things for that long. Hil Re: Finally talked to Dr When I know I have to go out I always take a few immodium. Of course still carry a extra depends and pair of slacks:) Hil

Guest guest
It really helps to have my daughters who have been wonderful to me but we need Jesus and the dogs! Being in the house alone most of the time I would be nuts without my baby here with me. Actually if it were not that I had to get up to take care of her I would probably just stay in bed. I just talked to one of my daughters and was telling her about 's cat litter box and a few things. She could not believe we talk like this:) Hil Re: Re: Finally talked to Dr Praying for you Hil. Guest guest
I am so proud of your daughters. They are truely loving. God Bless them. Ingrid > I was told over a year ago when they could not do the colonoscopy that I needed a balloon stretch. My EX surgeon does not think they work! I know people that have had them in different parts and they have worked well. Sometimes they do have to do them a couple times. He also mentioned the stent so guess I will know more Monday when I talk to him. He asked if we should discuss this first or just go ahead Tues but I thought it would be better if we discuss it. I don't see that I have any choices and getting the stretch is something I have wanted to do. Of course I did not know the cancer may have returned so this will also let them do the biopsy from what he said. As far as I know everything is set for Tuesday. I sure hope I don't go without eating and he says no on Monday:) Don't think that will happen as we really have no options except surgery that I am trying not to do. I know and they know I don't do surgery well. My regular Dr just called that I wanted to ask him about adjusting my insulin. Good I did call him as I was thinking of my liquid diet of including boost, instant carnation and such with vitamens. He said no as they contain fiber to stick to juices and gatorade. That is a switch because they all contain sugar but he said that is ok for now. > I do know some people who have had their esgohogus (sp) stretched they go back every year or two for it. I was told before a ballon stretch is similiar to having a colonoscopy as far at the procedure goes. Having the biopsy which my understanding is outside wall of colon and not being able to take the laxative may make it a little more difficult. I do think I am going to one of the very best Dr's to do it so that makes me feel better. The sedative they normally give me does not put me out which I have liked but think with this I may want to go out:) I now have three of my four daughters taking off work Tuesday to go with me. The fourth has not been told yet so may have her to:) I told them ok without eating they may need a couple to carry me in. I may have lost my husband but he did give me four wonderful daughters! Two have already discussed the family leave with their bosses in case I do have to have surgery. > > Hil > Re: Finally talked to Dr > > > Hil, I guess it is good that they will do the procedure on Tuesday > hopefully.
