You seem to have >snuck back on with your old email address without mentioning it >- how did it go? Caught out!! We didn't tell too many people we were coming back early as we wanted time to sort ourselves out without people ringing. Did I not mention it on here either? I'm sure I did a countdown of how many sleeps there were until we left. We flew straight through, stopping for an hour at Singapore (loo and leg break) and 2.75 hours at Dubai, where Steffi and I showered and changed. She and I had slept really well on the first two flights, accumulating between 8 and ten hours' sleep. The third flight, Dubai to Birmingham (7.5hrs, I think), seemed to go really quickly even though we didn't sleep. Grae had entertained ideas of doing a stopover in Dubai but the temp is around 40C at this time of year and wouldn't have provided the relaxing 'chill out by the beach' break we were after so we skipped it. We also had soooooo much luggage it had taken two cars to get us to the airport in Melbourne - I really didn't want to have to collect it and go through Customs/Immigration more times than necessary. So yes, we're back and the weather was lousy for the first two days and now it's quite pleasant. And Grae's job-hunting starts again - we had planned to settle down again for a while but my feet are itchy already....!! -- Sue

Didn't you miss a bit of good old English rain? > And Grae's job-hunting starts again - we had planned to settle down > again for a while but my feet are itchy already....!! > > -- > Sue You like travelling the world then? I never quite caught on as to why you went to Oz in the first place, never mind why you came back Ruthie (who is a real stick in the mud, having stayed in the same London house for 33 yrs)
