Never thought of it that way but. yeah. Basically, if I knew then what I know now, I would have done all the same things I did to control yeast and other pathogens but, at the same time, I would have gradually started doing the very lowest doses of DMSA in rounds as Cutler suggests. Back then I was scared that, since I couldn't eliminate well at all, I wasn't going to be able to get out the metal that was freed up. So that's what I had to mcontrol first. I'd started this odyssey four years ago with an mis-diagnosed h. pylori caused ulcer that put a hole in my stomach. That was my first of several ambulance trips. The Treating Docs back then gave me morphine for a week, then put their hands up in the air and said " we don't know what's causing this but probably a ruptured ovarian cyst " . They gave me a zillion antibiotics, Protonix (!) and pushed my emaciated body out the door. I was the one who called them days later, after research on the Internet and throwing up everything I ate, and said you might want to test me for h. pylori etc. > Does anyone know of good stool testing services in the US to check > levels of good and bad bacteria? Nope. The only one I know of is the serum " parasitology " test I mentioned. It measures good and bad bacteria. Pretty highly regarded and worked for me. ~robin
