I have just been on an investigation to Foxstitch - what a wonderful

site (I did as it says and book marked it!) I was initially being

nosey (as I have some spare time on my hands - I know, I know I

should be resting but I have got my feet up as I type!) and will

return in a few days to place an order. I just loved the 'Summer

Box' cross stitch. It seems just perfect to do when I am convalesing.

Can I be even more nosey - was it a hobby that just grew and grew? I

would love to be able to pursue a careeer that involved something

that I enjoyed and loved (see previous posting on Refelexology)

Anyway,I just wanted you to know that I thought that it was

wonderful - a real find for me!

Aww thank you!!

It did start as a hobby, then a friend and I got together and decided that we

were fed up of buying from America and decided we could do it ourselves, then

at the beginning of July I bought her out - 'cos with 2 small children and

another on the way I don't have enough to do!!!

SPAM ALERT!! Jane Greenoff Cross Stitch Magazine die an article on Foxwood,

and if you tell me you've read the article and order before 17th Sept you get

10% discount SPAM OVER!!

will be far too modest to tell you this but as a frquent

customer I can testify that the orders arrive incredibly promptly,

all beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and the designs and threads

are lovely. I've just done The Marriage Promise for my BIL's wedding

gift and it was received with great rapture. I hadn't done cross

stitch for years as I hate a lot of the twee designs you find over

here but these American ones are wonderful.

Re making a career out of a hobby I am going for an interview this

Sunday to train as an aromatherapist with the Tisserand Institure in

London. One weekend a month for two years, gulp. But it has always

fascinated me and hey, I have'nt got much else on....!!

LOL!! That's what I thought and then I got pregnant! I kept meaning to post

about the SAHM/working mother thing - because someone mentioned the option of

working from home - but guess what? I never found the time to say what I

wanted to say!!!

Some mornings I achieve more before I get to nursery than I ever

achieved in a day at work and that is in addition to breakfasting and

dressing the children and all those domestic things that still have to

happen! Other days I end up working until 10 or 11 at night just to get

everything straight for the next day - but I love the flexibility - as long

as I am prepared to either get up early or work in the evening I can have the

majority of my day to spend with the children. Conversley I have the perfect

excuse to close the stairgate on the office door and sit at the pooter and

tell my poor children that I am working!!!
