My understanding is that some people improve just on amalgam removal, and possibly have the ability to detox somewhat by themselves. And it is supposed to be better to do nothing than to do *improper* chelation. But I believe most of us that are sick from our amalgams are poor excretor of metals, and need help getting the metals out of our bodies, especially our brains. I believe the half life of mercury in the brain is like 25 years, so it doesn't come out very fast on its own. And we had some discussion on this before too, that if you had an actual mercury allergy or if the electrical currents created by your fillings caused you alot of problems, then those people could see alot of improvement just by removing their fillings.---------Jackie Marcia
Guest guest
Jackie, thanks for your answer, thats exactly what I wanted to know! I do have mercury allergy, plus galvanic current issues but also a poor excreter. I just wondered, just in case I or others I know can't do the chelation process if they'd still get better just removing amalgams. You are such a help Jackie! But, like I said before, I believe Andy has said that *no chelation* is better than *bad chelation*, so if they can't do it properly, then it's better if they don't do it at all. And it would still be good, I would think, to have your amalgams removed, because then you get rid of your source of constant exposure to more mercury vapor, which would just continue to add to your body load. And I can't promise you that you or your friends will get better with just amalgam removal. Some people feel better, some feel worse, and some about the same. And personally, I felt *so much better* while on rounds, that I strongly encourage people to try proper chelation. And DeanSA's story might be of interest to you also. He had his amalgams out many years ago, but never did proper chelation until recently, and he said he never really recovered his health until he did chelate, and now feels fully recovered. So, if for some reason you or your friends want to wait and see, the mercury will wait along with you, and if you decide to chelate in the future, just know that it will still help. I believe Andy has posted about this also, and you might find it in the onibasu/wiki. I hope this helps.-----------Jackie You are such a help Jackie!
