Guest guest
Some of you are familiar with my friend Monika from the Colon Cancer Support Group. To refresh your memory, Monika's husband Bert had stage 3 colon cancer, while her mother has been battling lung cancer. Monika has been a constant source of support throughout these last 2 years with her prayers empathy and understanding. Monika has recently found out that there is some blood clotting and a radical factor in her blood is out of whack indicating progression Here are the details and please keep Monika and her Mom in prayer. Thanks, Narice I found it. Its actually a free radical fighter in your blood system and it has risen dramatically, indicating in most cancer patients progression of disease. The clot in her lung was formed by her platelets being too high...also a sign of lung cancer progression. She looks bad and has lost almost 18 pounds in two weeks. Yet she is still hanging in there and why shouldn't she...it's just a little step back, right. I'll keep you posted and could sure use some of your powerful prayers. They are now going to give her third line treatment...if she doesn't respond, I think that will be it. I'm truly miserable but I know that as long as I have Bert by my side, I will make it. It just reinforces my biggest fear of them all....I love them both so much. Monika
