I don't have a doctor who will prescribe stuff TK-- you can get many things without a doctor and there are practitioners that will help. but I > can get stuff from foreign pharmacy. So that rules out prednisone. > Here's what look like to be my options: What do you guys think? I > don't want to really get hooked on any long term medication. > > BTW.. TK-- depends on the individual - do more research before thinking of doing this as it can cause problems - they did not work for me and suppressed my immune system more for quite awhile. They can work well for some but I would suggest startign low dose daily supplementation or support after testing. Where can I learn how to do this properly TK--- read through the Andy index and AI for this, I suggest you test both adrenals and thyroid appropriately > > 2)hydrocortisone supplementation? can I just take a small ammount for > short periods, or do I need to make a long term commitment to this? TK-- depends on your adrenal status, test results and practicle application of Hydrocortisone. It can be used short term or long term in low doses without causing problems. best to test and see what is going on - do 24hr saliva testing. > How much to take and still be safe? TK-- 20 mg is considered the low dose split up durign the day - best as with all these to start low and increase slowly. Hydrocortisone therapy has been discussed many time and you can find doseage, therapy suggestions in archives. usually 5-10mg on awakening, 5mg mid morning and then 5 at noon - varies slightly per individual and response. > > 3)tegretol - I know in AI- andy recommends tegretol to control the > paradoxical response to stress(which I have pretty bad). What dose > and would blood tests be required? TK-- suggestion - start with the other testing - adrenal, thyroid and their supplementation first. > > 4)pregnenolone - will taking pregnenolone help any with this? TK--- DHEA and preg can help as they are precursors - review AI for dosage etc. what's > the best time of day to take it?
