OK, my nurse said the PTU is working and my levels are coming down,

though still a bit high. I'm waiting for the labs to buzz through so

I can post the results. I've been told to do 4 more weeks on 150mg

of PTU and then do another blood test. Plus I need to get that

ultrasound done... Went on vacation and never managed to get in for

it.

OK... Here are my first labs pre-PTU dated 10/3.

FT4: 5.51 (.76 - 1.76)

TSH Serum: <.05 (.3 - 5.7)

This test had a few other things on it, too. So the test results for

5 weeks post-PTU dated 12/4 are:

T3 Uptake: 35.5 (27 - 37)

T4, Thyroxine: 12.1 (4.5 - 11.8)

FTI (Calculation): 13.3 (4.6 - 10.9)

FT4: 2.0 (.76 - 1.76)

TSH Serum: <.05 (.3 - 5.7)

So, what do you make of it??? It's like Greek to me. And I notice

my TSH Serum has stayed the same. What does that mean? A

simpleton's explanation of these results would be much appreciated

and also would help me understand them better in the months to come.
