Guest guest
Sue , wow what a rough road you have had, Seriously though , ONLY you can decide what is right for you, just like I told my mom , it isnt anyone else going through the chemo its YOU , AND you know what you can or can not endure, I told my husband the same thing when he was sick on chemo , I said listen I cant say yeah or nay , the ultimate decision will be YOURS. Thank God his worked for him so far so good. Mom is home from hospital , still slightly confused and hallucinating at times ( she saw sailors coming out of our clock , and some little girl walking around , and she was wondering why someone covered her with bread ( it was a blanket ) , but I attribute 90% of this to SHEER EXHAUSTION as she hasnt slept for the last 2 nights at the hospital , for fear that the nurses were trying to kill her. But she is more lucid now , and the diarrhea has stopped ( Thank you Lord ) So I think she will get better day by day , as for the cancer itself , well we will worry about that later God Bless Deb suebutler45 suebutler45@...> wrote: > Oh, Deb, that's just wonderful....hope she just continues to improve on a > daily basis!!! Guest guest
Deb, I had my hallucinting after mt surgery, was really out of it,lost almost 10 days, remember nothing, after 3 chemo treatments,I had lost 20lbs,passrd out if I got out of bed, and LIVED in the bathroom, when most of the people in my oncologists office never had many problems, depends on the person, some can handle, some can not. Have gained all my weight back, and then some, but still tire very easy. I have gall stones and Osteoporosis in my spine, and a hernia. So I never which place pain is from. But I think I'am doing fairly well considering all thats wrong. Can't say I will never take Chemo, all depends, hoping they soon find something better. My prayers are with your Mom and family, Good Luck. Guest guest
Dear Sue, I too went through the hallucinating though it was called a psycotic break with reality. While I was in my bed I thought I was hanging onto the side of a mountain and I kept yelling help. It was horrible. I never want to go under general again but who knows what we decide to do when faced with the decision. After this I can't make decisions about tomorrow until tomorrow comes. I just want to live each day as it unfolds. I have made a huge decision and have put my home up for sale and am moving to New Mexico with my dogs. As Tiny Tim said: " God Bless us, everyone.
