Had him asleep of the sofa butt naked on a tea towel. Those acid poos are horrid aren't they? Cause a red bum in minutes if you don't whip 'em off straightaway! Haven't quite got there with Alfie yet - started him on his first solids on Tuesday - spaghetti bolognese - got quite excited when it came out the other end the next day almost the same as it went in - after all those months of lovely yellow mustard b/fed nappies - dh didn't share my excitement for some reason - can't think why ;o) Hannah, 27 Mum to Bethany 7, Lawrence 5 1/2, Verity 3, Alfie 6 months Visit me on the web at :- http://hannahshome.20m.com

Guest guest
Kirsten Only thing I ever use for red bottoms is chamomile tea soaked muslin (or terries ) squares cut into 4 then boiled for a couple of min and put inside nappy wet (cooled off) it clears it off better than anything else I have ever seen (and I like the fact it is not anything chemical etc) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... Guest guest
Ruthie ;o) I can do a crossword (even a English one - my second language) but only ever the kiddy or the easy ones.. shame really as I enjoy doing them.. I tend to get caught on words like muslin/muslim as the spell checker won't pick them up (as they are " right " words) and when I proof read it doesn't register.. In fact when I read anneliese's post I had NO idea what she was talking about I had to read it 3 times before I thought was there something wrong with the spelling... ;o) still I do have a sense of humour about it so I was not offended or anything ;o).. I was offered the dregs of a tube when Yeshaya was a baby with bad nappy rash and I had tried everything else; it worked wonders! It was very thick and gungey but I didn't care, I got my US SIL to bring me great tubfulls whenever she came to visit. On my most recent visit to NY I saw Desitin had improved into a new non gungey, and pleasantly perfumed version so I bought a couple of tubes, for Rafi and any other baby grandchildren if they would need it.I also stocked up on hydrocortisone cream (still only available in 1% but much larger tubes). These were for any itchy patches on my own skin, not for babies! Ruthie > Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
Guest guest
<> so did my sil and she loved it but I never got on with it at all (for nipples or bottom's) Only cream/ointment that I have gotten on with is Lanshinoh (recommended by my midwife funnily enough lol) but for nappy rash I always use muslin squared soaked in chamomile tea then put inside the nappy it tackles the worst kind of nappy rash very quickly and I like the fact that it is not anything chemical at all..
