Those acid poos are horrid aren't they? Cause a red bum in minutes if you don't whip 'em off straightaway! Haven't quite got there with Alfie yet - started him on his first solids on Tuesday - spaghetti bolognese - got quite excited when it came out the other end the next day almost the same as it went in - after all those months of lovely yellow mustard b/fed nappies - dh didn't share my excitement for some reason - can't think why ;o) Hannah, 27 Mum to Bethany 7, Lawrence 5 1/2, Verity 3, Alfie 6 months Visit me on the web at :- http://hannahshome.20m.com

Guest guest
If I left 's bum for even half an hour sometimes, he would be close to bleeding on the red patches and like you say he would cry if he sat down. Makes you feel awful for not getting to them sooner, but sometimes you just can't! Have you tried Drapoline? Clear DS's bum up over night. Kirsten red bottom > Eloisa was really hungry and rushed to sit at the dinner table then stood right up again and started crying.. I went over to her (thought it was because her leggings was wet as she had been playing in the garden) and realised she had a dirty nappy so I went to change it and her bottom is red raw.. Only thing I can think she has had today that could have done this is grapes but she didn't have that many but that must be it.. > > anyway she ate her dinner in the nude sitting on a towel ;o) and I am just now boiling up some water for some chamomile tea for my Muslim squares so she can feel comfy tomorrow.. > > makes you feel really horrible though don't you think? when they get such a red bottom at really short notice.. > Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama > & expecting a Christmas delivery... > My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. > So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. > > I feel better already. > > >

My Zehava is dyslexic so I do know what a handicap that can be. She was just saying this week (before she went back to the UK for college) " I will never ever be able to do the crossword. " (watching her Dad do it). Ruthie

I was offered the dregs of a tube when Yeshaya was a baby with bad nappy rash and I had tried everything else; it worked wonders! It was very thick and gungey but I didn't care, I got my US SIL to bring me great tubfulls whenever she came to visit. On my most recent visit to NY I saw Desitin had improved into a new non gungey, and pleasantly perfumed version so I bought a couple of tubes, for Rafi and any other baby grandchildren if they would need it.I also stocked up on hydrocortisone cream (still only available in 1% but much larger tubes). These were for any itchy patches on my own skin, not for babies! Ruthie > Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
Guest guest
Oh Lonnie, sorry, didn't mean to come out as superior, it's a typo I see quite often but it makes me laugh every time! DS1 used to get those - just urine burns (though I do think that an earlier dirty nappy would have sensitised his skin somehow), he'd suddenly start screaming. First time it happened DH thought he'd sat in some mystery corrosive chemical. You could feel the heat coming off it as if it was an electric bar fire. > >Haven't quite got there with Alfie yet - started him on his first solids on >Tuesday - spaghetti bolognese - got quite excited when it came out the other >end the next day almost the same as it went in - after all those months of >lovely yellow mustard b/fed nappies - dh didn't share my excitement for some >reason - can't think why ;o) > >Hannah, 27 An extremely droll US friend of mine suggested gold plating when I explained the excitement over the first solid poo :-) -- jennifer@... Guest guest
my midwife recommended Chamillosan quite ardently - & its genuinely excellent - seems to work for everything - sore nipples, nappy rash, chafed thighs (don't ask), spots, mossie bites... smells weird, like flowers, saddle soap & cow poo - it becomes quite attractive when you're used to it (honest ;-) )! (Mothercare sells it) Siobhan > > > Or Metanium (?sp) In Navy Blue/crem/yellow tube - has alway worked > > wonders on bottoms in this house!> > > > > Beverly > ------- > ah yes I have a tube of that, which I use very very occasionally, but > it does works, smells very pungent though.
