Guest guest
Hi Robin, and welcome home from Hawaii ! Some comments below.----------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation robin wrote: I've tried to be light about this (denial?) but this afternoon I'm getting a bit scared; feel anxious, dizzy, brainfogged -- kind of speedy but tired at the same time.. ----------Some of that could be adrenals. I don't remember if you're taking anything for those? Maybe even extra sea salt in water would help, and C and B's are good too. If you are taking/using ACE or HC, then try more of that too.-----Jackie I'm 32 hours into my 1st round after a 2 month break of no chelating whatsoever. Didn't feel that great before starting round but felt better after second dose yesterday. ----------There is alot of nasty stuff (viruses) going around, and you may just still be wiped out from the trip, it sounded rather exhausting. So maybe chelation on top of not feeling great was just too much right now.-----------Jackie Should I lower 12.5mg to half that amount at the next dose of THIS round? ---------No. You should never lower doses during a round. This will cause redistribution. It is better to just end the round and start lower next time.------Jackie Or should I wait until the end of the whole round which is the day after tomorrow? Then, after a few days, start up again at half the dose? Or? ------------Yes. You'll have to decide if you can tolerate and finish this round as is. If the symptoms get too bad, then just end the round early. Then in a few days, if you feel well enough, then maybe try a lower dose.---------Jackie I've tried the various helping treatments like glutamine, taurine, gaba -- all a few hours apart because I know they compete. Also lots of C and some b's and my usual magnesium in the form of Ionic Fizz. I'm a bit confused because, all together, I've done about 6 successful rounds of DMSA at 12.5mg and always seem to feel okay. Not great but okay. I don't want to step backward. ----------It is frustrating to go backward, but it does happen, probably to most of us at some point for some reason or another. And many people have said that after taking a break from chelation that they have had to lower their dose for awhile, so this isn't uncommon. Nobody likes taking a step backward, but it almost seems to be part of the process, so I guess I just want to prepare you that this more than likely will happen to you along the way. Just hang in there, and as somebody said recently, just keep plodding along --------Jackie Confusing the matter is that I just haven't been feeling very well for a couple months and assumed I'd be gradually getting better. Not worse. Any help appreciated... -----------First of all, it is part of the natural progression of mercury detox, to feel worse for awhile, before getting better. Andy has said many times to study the graph on page 52 of AI and understand it. Secondly, people react differently to amalgam removal and how they feel afterwards. Some feel better right away, some feel worse, and some have a honeymoon period and then feel worse, before getting better, and maybe some feel about the same. And thirdly, and I think I can relate to this very well, been there done that, is that you have been under alot of stress taking care of others and not yourself, and maybe you don't realize how hard this has been on you. If you want to chat about this personally, just drop me a line, because I went through alot with my mother during this whole mercury/chelation nightmare, and I think I am now just realizing what a toll it has taken on me, and is part of the reason it is taking me so long to get well. Don't underestimate how hard on your adrenals that emotional stress is. And throw mercury poisoning in on top of it all, you have alot on your plate, and your poor body can only handle so much. So my advice to you is to be as kind to yourself as you can. You just did a wonderful thing for your parents, but now it's time to take care of yourself. If you don't, you might not be able to help them the next time they need you. Take care-----------Jackie ~robin

Went through all the hoops finally to arrive, ONLY 5 months ago, at this business of heavy metals. I got the test because I'd developed super bad chemical sensitivity. (And yes car exhaust makes me instantly anxious like Andy says. That's so weird...) There was simply nowhere else to look except metals. And I've tried adrenal supplementation but, oddly enough, I can't sleep, get too revved. So I think my adrenals may actually be okay? I think it's more what you say later in your nice post: the recent teeth stuff combined with the fact that, prior to learning about Andy's wonderful work, the test I took was the provoked urine test, followed by several courses of intraveneous DMPS/EDTA, with, of course chlorella and cilantro thrown in. Just a few months ago I nearly went bonkers with vertigo so bad I thought I might die right then and there so......... I think you're right about how it hits people differently, later. That stuff is just all stirred up.. And, yes, the stress of the parents thing: y'know it's hard when we metal people all look so healthy on the outside. (I project amazing good health and energy and then crash later,) No one can imagine how sick we really are. And with parents you get the double thing of, you don't want them to be so sorry and disappointed especially when they're sick and need your care. It gets all mixed up.. So thanks for your very kind support Jackie. It helped to hear that.. ~robin
