Hi All,

I'm new to the list.

I have been dealing with a variety of problems for better than 5 years.

My doctor has treated all my issues separately.

The most recent yearly blood screen showed a drop in white blood cells and

a drop

in my total cholesterol level from 198 to 125 in a year.

In the past 6 months I have lost 50 pounds.

I suffer from panic and anxiety: Wellbutrin for that

My nails are ridged vertically.

I have hard lumps on my shins. They last for months and then turn dark red

and

slowly disappear.

Haven't experienced racing heart beat and palpitations in the last 4 years

but they were terrible when I first had panic attacks.

My hair is dry, brittle and thinning.

My arms and legs are weak.

Hands get numb at night: Carpal Tunnel braces..doesn't help

Thirsty

I am overly warm in buildings and will break out in a profuse sweat on my head,

forehead and neck.

Just got the best of me. Decided to search for myself.

I have come to the conclusion that I must be hyper.

My doctor wants me to see a hematologist to check the Leukopenia.

Rather than argue with her, I made an appointment with an endo for tomorrow.

Questions I have:

What should I ask him.

Which meds work the best with the least side effects

Can I be hyper even though my numbers are in the normal range.

In June, 98 my TSH was 3.56, today it is 2.23.

Can you tell me which meds you all recommend?

And, I have read the archives and couldn't find a good explanation:

what is Thyroid storm?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Arlyn Strano
