Re: in laws (they have gone )

it went ok in as far as they arrived 30 mins late (as usual) and left at 5 pm..

They started saying Oh we must think about leaving etc and when they did it the

3rd time I called the girls in from the garden shouting Phoebe Eloisa come in to

say goodbye to grandma & granddad so they kind of had to go ..... (nasty

piece of work I am LOL)

fil got " upset " because he had taken his hedge trimmer with him and we had

bought one ourselves yesterday (well that is what you get when you don't ask

people if they need to borrow something) and I got bored stiff by mil talking

about her SO CLEVER and SO smart (read useless and no one is better than me

arrogant) oldest son (dh's elder brother who really is a bit of a black sheep

but at the moment trying to get back into mums and dad's books)... and then

went on to talk about her late bil and all the stuff he did (I have heard this

AT LEAST 6 times and I was NOT in the mood) but she did have some lovely

information about the rest of the family and she did play with the girls a lot..

(fil watched athletics' - I switched the tv of 3 times - somehow it always came

back on again) still it went ok. but I have said to dh that I refuse to see

them all of July. (and in august we are going to Denmark to see my father (and

mother but it is for my dad's 60th birthday) so I know I wont have to worry

until at least end of august..

so I didn't get any of the stuff done I wanted to (my bedroom is still a tip and

I still have it the wrong way around to how I would like it) but at least dh got

the microwave into the Kitchen (this I have been waiting for since February) so

something good did come of it..

Dh and I had a argument (we have known each other 7 years and I think this was

the 4th argument) before they arrived just tension I think and it was about

something really stupid (plastastine of all things) but we did apologise later

and I think we both knew it was no ones fault...

so there you have it my day in a nutshell.. I have had NO time for myself so by

the end of this next week I am going to be so wacked that it will be untrue..

but I guess I will have to plod on as best I can...

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you

start.

So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake.

My fil rang this morning and they suddenly want to come and visit us (they

wanted to come today) this REALLY annoys me when they do as particularly

this weekend we had plans for just doing family things
