Guest guest
Hi Joyce, I have been thinking about you. I was out riding around last week and stopped by one of the other two oxygen suppliers in town to see what they offered. During our conversation he mentioned seatguru.com for looking up electrical outlet access on planes and in airports. He said some planes had outlets on board but only in certain seating areas. I don't know of this would help you but hopefully it will make things run more smoothly and alleviate a bit of anxiety. Guest guest
Thanks for the site, Margaret. I went there and really found it interesting and helpful. In fact I sent it to a couple of friends who fly all the time. The trip is coming up fast and I had better get going and book my flight! Also, I have to get a few things since National Jewish wants you to wear something that buttons down the front. I'm afraid I only have have stuff that goes over the head. Guest guest
I absolutely agree Bruce! In my case the doctor said the ONLY supplier was LINCARE and then LINCARE said there was one more and that was ALLCARE. LINCARE wanted to get rid of me so Iwent to allcare. It was my home delivery person who told me about Alliance and that they gave out portables. I was so ignorant of what is available in my area! I took the word of othersl. I should have called about but would never have thought about asking for travel portables. I just don't know what to ask. Guest guest
Joyce, I'm so happy things are beginning to take shape. It's not easy doing all the hunting for the things we need. It shouldn't have to be that way but there it is. We're sick but we have to do all the leg work. It's especially hard when you're new at this. We've all been there and we don't know what we don't know. This group was incredibly helpful to me when I was floundering in the early days. I remember how overwhelmed I felt and how grateful I was for the help on what now seem to be the simplest issues. I'm still learning every day as we all are and I'm still grateful every day too. I hope the rest of your preparations go smoothly and you obtain lots of useful information about your disease during your evaluation at Jewish!
