Guest guest
One of my friends mentioned that I probably shouldn't have stopped my beta blocker the same time my PTU was lowered because now I don't know what dose change is affecting me. My last Toprol XL was Sunday morning. I was taking 2x25 mg, dropped to 1x25 for 5 days, and then stopped. Same time I dropped from 300 PTU to 250. Now I'm more tired and wanting to just stay home and don't " feel right " . How's that for a description...I can see why docs have a hard time with the symptoms we tell them. My friend (retired nurse) took my blood pressure which is now 106/76. Before changing meds it was 96/60, and before Graves' it was always low...90/60. She kept telling me that my BP was fine, but I am thinking that's why I'm not feeling right. She thinks it's the change with the PTU. I'd really appreciate hearing other's experiences. I was thinking of going up to 275 mg PTU to see if that helped. She thought I should stick it out until my next blood work on 12/9. Thanks, .
