So, would it make sense to do one day of DMSA, then three days of DMSA+ALA, and then finish off with a few (or even a day) doses of DMSA only ? Is it constant or do you have cases of 'sudden' dumping; a sudden worsening ? - Kyrre

Guest guest
Kyrre, Usually you do dmsa/ala and then finish off with just dmsa to mop up what the ALA moved. Or you do the entire round with both or one. It is not recommended to keep changing what you are doing during one single round. From what I am reading you are doing this longer than the three days? Since you refer to 1 day dmsa, three of both and then one of dmsa again. This is not Andy's protocol...but in some cases people can do 4 or 5 days followed by a break. However, if you are just starting this I would advise you stick to three days of dmsa or dmsa/ala. Some people do report doing better on 4-5 days. So go by how you feel and with caution. Dumping is not constant in the way you refer. You will at first experience a lot of dumping and changes. Then you will hit a point where not much changes and you don't' feel like your making progress..this is called the " stall period " . At which you need to keep at it and then you'll get back to dumping more and improving. Stall can last a few months or more..depends on the person. This is the point when your body starts dumping the deeply stored metals. Usually around month 3 post removal you dump heavily. This can go for about 18 months post removal..at which point you may hit that stall. For us in our family we all seemed to hit the stall around round 10 and continued to about round 16 when we began seeing progress again. > > Hi! > > I'm still dumping (I think). Guest guest
Hi, and many thanks for answering ! I'm aware of the dmsa-only after dmsa/ala, have done it myself. What I was thinking is that if I'm still dumping, by doing a day of DMSA first I would mop up (most of) what the dumping has left in my blood and thereby make it 'safer' to add ALA. I've chelated for almost 9 months and think I can say that I have (more or less) followed curve e in figure 15 in AI, even though I haven't managed to do much ALA yet, which is why I want to 'get going'. I think I am through the worst part of the dumping. - Kyrre > > > > Hi! > > > > I'm still dumping (I think).
