Guest guest
Yikes, already the holidays are upon us and we have to think about Contemporary Issues. So I thought I would float these ideas amongst my friends in the Coffee group and the Online Bookgroup for us to mull over - as well as with my 12 yo DD who has to think about these things...however, ahving had my head down various holes over the past few years thought it would be good to think about these ones....I'll start off with the more user friendly ones, but once we get onto the harder ones, lets try to be civilised, friendly and tolerant in the true spirit of the NCT and not degenerate into flames!! What would you say are the most important qualities needed in a friend? Provide examples from your own experience. For myself, I would think that to be genuinely interested is a starter, to be kind, affectionate, supportive, and gently truthful, if necessary supporting the friend through relevations that might be more difficult...(and loyal amongst detractors. Quite difficult in the modern playground, unsupervised as it is....) I think the idea of 'Best Friends' is difficult and tends to cause more problems than pleasure....
