Guest guest
I freeze to death all the time...and it isn't entirely because I live in Alaska... ha ha I wear socks year round to try to keep my feet warm. I can be sitting in my 70 degree living room under a blanket with rubbing my feet and they will go from cold to warm to cold to hot warm cold... My nails turn blue also and my hands are cold. I take it to be a combination of low metabolism, poor circulation and lack of oxygen. It is less often when I exercise more but still happens. Margaret Pneumonitis 97, PH 06, COPD, PF, heart and respiratory failure 2008 ... and I feel better than I did in 97!!! Guest guest
Google 'Raynaud's Phenomenon' & check your symptoms. Guest guest
Wally/ I would tend to think as Wally and mentioned and that is other conditions such as Reynaud's or various autoimmune or the natural effect of aging even. As if PF isn't complicated enough, we sometimes forget all those other conditions we have which confuse us further. People were talking a couple of days ago about low grade fevers. Meanwhile I had that when younger but now since PF my normal body temperature is around 97-97.2. So, 99 is a significant fever for me. Very important we know so we can inform the doctors and nurses where we are versus our normal. Now we talk about freesing and I'm still always too hot. People come to visit me and I have to adjust the thermostat. If I don't think about it, they're quickly searching for sweaters, coats, or blankets. 78 degrees is hot to me and 75 is still on the warm side. > > > > Does anyone else have times with frozen fingers and feet? Guest guest
I am so cold, even with the house at 70-72 degrees, I have fleece sheets, a comforter and the extra heat if the concentrator and the last few nights I have felt cold. The doc gave me some new meds and my pneumonitis is back with a wheeze. I have been wearing socks, fleece slippers and my heavy robe over everything else. I get so frustrated when I come home sick after having fun shopping! :0( The chest and back pain isn't pleasant. Guest guest
Margaret - I too am cold at 72 degrees. I often sit in my recliner (watching tv at night) with an electric throw underneath me, a small electric heater to my right, the gas logs of the fireplace to my left, and my microwave-heated hand-muff covering my freezing hands.
