lab test of cysteine levels

I want to get my cysteine level checked. The only test the lab says

they have close to it is homocysteine level. That is not the same is

it? The people that have had it tested used what test name? Thanks

No it's not the same.

You want an Oxydative Stress Analysis with Cysteine option from

Geneva Diagnostics (formerly Great Smokies Labs).

The plasma cysteine test that Andy used to recommend is no longer

available. They only do serum cysteine now, it's not the same.

Andy recommends figuring out cysteine status by a trial of sulfur

food elimination and re-introduction.
