Guest guest
Oh dear. Our mother board blew up ten days ago - £300 odd later (had to have a new processor as well as the mother board was obsolete) we got the PC back today. I read most of the coffee messages on the website using dh's laptop or our second PC (once dh had persuaded it that it could talk to the net direct and didn't need the big PC there to help it!), and I know there are some I wanted to reply to - didn't do it at the time owing to being on dial-up connection rather than cable - but now I've got 776 messages to plough through. Can I be bothered or shall I just mark it all as read? Interestingly, I've probably got much more done for not being able to nip off and check my emails every twenty minutes all day long, but I don't think it improved my tolerance levels for dealing with recalcitrant small children. Also kept having to go shopping in order to get away from very boring house, so has been a bit expensive there as well! Incidentally, if anyone hasn't found it yet, M&S have got quite a good selection of their kids clothes reduced ATM - I'm currently doing the rounds of all their local(ish) stores attempting to kit out dd1 for next year. DD2 will have plenty of hand-me-downs from now on, I think, having finally got to the point when she isn't a season out in sizing (they are exactly 2.5 years apart - one born in high summer, and one in the depths of winter, so it hasn't really worked up to now). As they were reduced in M&S, I got dd1 three school summer dresses in the navy check that she will need for next year - she wasn't very impressed by the colour and asked if she could have a yellow one instead! I think I'm going to have trouble with her and the concept of uniform. Cath

My DD has to wear the school dress which has a distinct pattern and colour and you can only buy from the school - £16.99 per dress! As a result everybody only buys one, which you can then wash out in the week - luckily it dries overnight if left hanging in a doorway and doesn't need ironing.
