My question:

I am on DMSA and ALA 12.5 mg every three hours. I am finding that my

symptoms are not fun the last 1/2 hour. I wondered about doing my ala

a 2.5 hours but also wonder if I can take my DMSA on the same 2.5 hour

schedule - just to make this a little less complex.

----------Yes, you can take them both at 2.5 hours. It is always ok to take

them more frequently, and like you said, it would be a nightmare trying to keep

it straight, dosing them at different times.---------Jackie

That's what I did. It's fine. You can take DMSA every 4 hours

*or more often*. Makes perfect sense to take DMSA and ALA on

the same schedule.

Sunshine: When you reduce the dosage time down from 3 to 2.5 hours…

should you also reduce the dosage of the chelators?

The way I look at it, if you increase the amount of chelator per day

you will also increase the total amount of metals moved per day.

Depending on the person, this may or may not be noticeable. From

what you've described recently, it sounds like caution is warranted,

so reducing the dose when you increase the frequency makes sense.
