Guest guest
Hi Group, Before I post my hair analysis, I'd like some feedback because I don't want to waste anyone's time looking at meaningless data: In July 2006 I did a provoked urine test and the levels were very high for lead and mercury. I began EDTA IV's in Sept 2006, did approximately 55 IV's and lead levels went up and down. Began FDC with DMSA in January 2008 at 25 mg every 4 hours, 4 days on 4 days off. Earlier this month I upped the DMSA to 33 mg and had a very bad reaction. Waited a week and returned to 25 mg which caused tolerable side effects on the off days. My hair is very short and in order to do a hair analysis, I have to let it grow out to an inch and a half to get the hair sample. In July 2007 I had a Hair Toxic Element Test before I realized it was not the one that Andy recommended. Did the Hair Essential and other Elements in Feb 2008. All the toxic levels had dropped except for Arsenic. Did not meet the counting rules, but Step 1 was 5 or less and mine was 7. Step 2 was 4 or more and mine was 3. After all this chelating I have done over the past few years and not having old hair samples, is there anything you can tell from this recent sample? Looking forward to your input. Hi , I'm not sure if you were looking for something specific in your most recent hair test - note that if you're supplementing minerals, this can affect the results - but there's no harm done in posting it. With regards to counting rules, they are secondary to your reaction to chelation, i.e. the rules estimate your likelihood of being mercury toxic, and you've already demonstrated heavy metal toxicity by your chelation side effects. (I think the sensitivity to DMSA and side effect profile would tell you if its mercury in addition to lead, and a trial with ALA would tell you definitively.) If your pattern of essential elements was lopsided to the left, low toxic elements can mean that your body burden is higher than what the test suggests (i.e. you don't excrete them very well). You can find examples in the archives by searching for: " all low " hair For example: http://onibasu.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=%22all+low%22+hair&submit=Search%21&\ max=20&sort=score&idxname=am&idxname=fdc I apologize in advance if I've misinterpreted your post. Guest guest
It sounds like the recent hair test is close to meeting the counting rules, and you've already confirmed toxicity by verifying you have symptoms with chelation. So there isn't much more for us to tell you as far as whether you are toxic. There might be other information we could see on the hair test, such as abnormal mineral ratios or an adrenal sign. -- > > Hi Group, > > Before I post my hair analysis, I'd like some feedback because I don't want to waste anyone's time looking at meaningless data: > > In July 2006 I did a provoked urine test and the levels were very high for lead and mercury. > I began EDTA IV's in Sept 2006, did approximately 55 IV's and lead levels went up and down. > > Began FDC with DMSA in January 2008 at 25 mg every 4 hours, 4 days on 4 days off.
