Bottom line looking at all this what would you do?

Narice

I'd be scared as hell, but go for it!! Any reaction whatsoever, I would

stop immediately. (Just my gut feeling of what I would do...big decision from

what I've been reading on the board)....

Thinking a little further, Phil has been fairly strong through all this, so

maybe his body will handle it differently...with little or no side affects.

Oh, God, please help Narice and Phil to make the wisest decision for Phil....

Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle

I will ditto what Donelle said. Go for it but watch very carefully for

reaction. I ditto the prayers as well.

Take care God Bless Jolene

HELP!!!! Would YOU do it?

All right folks the Erbitux chemo starts tomorrow and Phil and I are

frankly

well confused.

Phil has done Oxaliplatin and Avastin with 5FU and Leucovorin

He has done the FUDR via hepatic artery infusion

The Erbitux and Camptosar are the 3rd maybe 4th chemo they have had him on

and we are definitely running out of options.

My question is this Phil and I are pretty scared about all the stories he

has been hearing about severe Erbitux reactions. The drug information says

it

is RARE but it sounds to us like all of you know someone who has had it so

how

rare is that?

On the plus side it sounds like if you get past the 1st day all right there

is a good chance that the Erbitux can knock out some perhaps all of these

liver mets.

Bottom line looking at all this what would you do?

Narice,

I will pray that God shows you the way. My uninformed opinion is to

try it and stop if any problem arises.

Hugs to you and Phil,

Sharon

My dad didn't want to do it either. He held off until it was the

best option for him. Unfortunately it didn't work out -- just be

prepared and make sure the doctor knows how scared you really are --

but I would probably take the chance again as well - I know dad did.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. But then I had no other options

really available. I was lucky as I tolerated the erbitux very well

other then the rash. Good luck tomorrow. I will be praying for you

both.

Narice, I know both of you have got to be terrified. We here are all

Praying!!! So I feel that Phil will be fine. If it were me I would

take the chance and perhaps have the liver mets go away. I feel that

the idea of having the cancer be gone out of the liver is truely

worth the chances of the chemo. The chemo may or may not cause a

reaction. More then likely it will not. Is that not worth the chance

of being cancer free?? I would feel for me that it would be worth It.

And with all the Prayers I just know it will go well. Ingrid
