Guest guest
Gaviscon Question Gaviscon contains sodium alginate and magnesium alginate as its active ingredients. Alginate containing products from a raft that floats on the surface of the stomach contents with the aim of reducing reflux and protect the oesophageal mucosa. The magnesium element may cause constipation. As you can imagine keeping a baby more upright is likely to be helpful where the baby has reflux.
