Guest guest
Flushing is caused by mast cell degranulation, which is in turn caused by high histamine levels. This indicates an allergic reaction, which can be caused by hypersensitivity to metals (see www.melisa.org), and IgE and IgG food allergies. This has been one of the main symptoms I have had associated with my poisoning. I also tend to flush in response to heat or exercise. My flushing is dangerous and severe, so I have to avoid these activities. If these are all the symptoms you are having, you are lucky. Some of the allergic food reactions (IgG, for example) are delayed, so eating the allergens will cause flushing or other symptoms at later times. If you have a high body burden of metals, exercise causes mobilization, which may account for your reactions. My reactions diminished considerably after having my amalgams removed. Chelation or mercury exposure can also cause these reactions, so you might want to watch for that. If you avoid allergen foods for awhile, that can really help your gut heal, and in my case keeps me free of symptoms despite reactions to my mercury body burden. You might want to get an IgG blood test for 100 or so foods so you can figure out if there are some you should avoid. They irritate the gut, causing permeability and systemic exposure to allergens. I've seen a fair number of people on this board who reported flushing reactions. Along with Candida it seems to be suggestive of mercury poisoning or allergy. The Melisa test (www.melisa.org) might get you a certain diagnosis of which metals you are sensitive to. Cadmium is also an issue for some people, and cigarette or other smoke will expose you to this. Good luck from you fellow flusher, Dave --- mle_ii mle_ii@...> wrote: > I started exercising again, and going into the > sauna. It's happened in > the past, but I never knew what caused it.
