Guest guest
This is a wonderful group of people. I wasn't sure where to turn and you have opened your arms to me and made me feel welcome. My mom had colon cancer 6 years ago and we thought it was beaten. The last couple of months (since May) she has been loosing weight but we thought it was due to her trying. A week ago Friday, she called me from her PCP's office, they had gotten some blood tests back and it looked like she was loosing blood some where and they wanted her to go to the hospital right away, for a blood transfusion. We were at the hospital by 5:15 and taken back to a bed in ER. They thougth there might be something in her stomach, so they did a catscan. It was a mass in the liver. She was finally admitted at 10:45. A week plus has passed and now we know that there is a 12cm mass in her lung and she has cancer in her lymphnodes. They did a biopsy of her lung to see if it is colon cancer or a new cancer. We are still waiting to hear. Thanks again, Sue

Guest guest
Lydia: It sounds like the drug you mentioned is another anti angiogenesis drug like Avastin. The Avastin website shows how it cuts off the blood supply to the tumor, thereby shrinking or killing it. in California I have heard on television the other day, that at San Raffaele Hospital, here in Milan, they have found a drug that stops the feeding prosses of the cancer, through its wessels...That is, if the cancer cannot be fed, it dies. .. >
