well, I made it, the whole day, no beta blocker, and I'm headed to bed now,

so it's official!

:) Pam B.

Diagnosed 12/01 (hyper with both graves and hashimotos ABs)

Mostly Alt Med - doing MUCH better. Numbers very close to normal and ABs

going away.

My story: http://www.webmosaics.com/thyroid/

If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Pam B,

COOL !!!

That didn't seem to take very long. Keep them with you just in case. I had

'moments' back then, and learned to always have one in the bottom of my

wallet. Just in case.

The first time I was SO brave, I left home with NONE...later I had an

'event' and the panic of having nothing with me, set me off into a worst

situation. Still not sure what I ate that night that started the whole

thing. But it is very possible, that if I had a pill there, the panic and

horrid heart issue might not have happened.

-Pam L- ex addict who STILL has one in my wallet :-)

Hi Pam -

This is so exciting! I pray you are able to stay off of the betas.

It will be great if we all could exchange our betas for hawthorne

berries. Just try to keep calm and " don't sweat the small stuff " to

help with this transition.

Also I might suggest keeping your selenium intake low. It sure has

made a world of difference to letting me lower my inderal dosage. I

hope to dump it myself eventually. Definitely going to try to get

some hawthorne.

The selenium content in foods info, in case you're interested is here:

http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Data/SR15/wtrank/wt_rank.html

Scroll down and click on " selenium "

Best of luck to you!

oooh Granny, I'm feeling a bit short tempered today :( grrr. I know it will

pass. I'm not taking any more betas... I have my bottle of hawthorne berry

in case I need it.

The thing is my heart is F.I.N.E. I know this short tempered thing is

withdrawals.... it's not going to get the better of me today or tomorrow...

I won't let it.

Pam B. (who is feeling better all of a sudden because the morning fog has

suddenly lifted and we finally have a pretty day, it's been gray and rainy for

weeks, and now some blue sky and sun. Oh the mountains are beautiful... we will

have to get out and go for a walk and soak up some of those views!)
