Guest guest
My husband Mike has his first PET scan next Tuesday afternoon following 12 chemo sessions and surgery to remove colon cancer. He has 2 small mets to lung. I am begining to panic with worry as know this scan shows the cancer clearer than a CAT scan. Can anyone tell me if he has to drink that awful stuff and have the other stuff pumped in during the scan (he hates that since it ripped out of his arm once during a CAT scan). The scan is 3 in the afternoon and told him no food after 8 a.m. Also can the patient see the screen so if it lights up he will know there is a problem? Any other advice would be greatfully received. in Spain
