Today I drove to San and checked in with the Cancer

I had blood and urine samples drawn and signed a bunch of release

forms. I got a call this afternoon to let me know that all my blood

and urine work was within parameters for the study, so it's launch

time!

I will go into the treatment room at 9:00 AM Monday for pre-infusion

blood draw and urine specimen. I get my first dose of CX-3453 at

10:00 AM via IV drip over 1 hour. Then I have blood samples taken

each hour for 12 hours. Yep, that's 14 hours of chair time.

I will get an infusion each day on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday,

and then do the 14 hour thing on Friday again.

Following that ordeal I get 2 weeks off, and start the cycle again.

If you want to know more about the drug, check out the web site

I have books (including the new Harry Potter novel), my iPOD, my

notebook with DVD player and lots of DVD's. I should be entertained

all the time. Also, I met the nursing staff and they are all super.

I think it will be a short 14 hours.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.
