Guest guest
After one month of dinking around with the sleep doctor, I got a CPAP machine. What a marvelous difference it makes... you were so right Bruce! My machine is one of the newer ones that does an auto adjust. Because I have severe sleep apnea I am set to ride between levels 11 and 14 at night. This ensures a nighttime sat level >90. Because of the high setting I will not be able to use the gel mask, but at this point I will take the good night's sleep with any mask and I am VERY happy. It comes with the humidifier and has a carry-on case for flying. My appointment at National Jewish in Denver is also coming into place. It took my doctor a week to " fill out " the referral form (seems there had to be some codes added to the filled out form I brought to her office) but they finally received it. Because there is some medical conference the last two weeks in May I will not be getting into National Jewish until June 8, but hey, that is a lot better than the last 3 years spinning my wheels. I have all of the right tests requested and all of my pertinent medical records on CD. I can access all of my other records by logging onto a computer or I can have my husband create .pdf versions and send them to whomever may want them at National Jewish (my husband is an Engineer who has been working with computers for his whole life). So,... I think I am set. For now anyway. I will keep you posted.
