Guest guest
Nicola, I'm responding because many of the symptoms you describe are similar to those of my husband. We had his hair test done last year and it is quite similar to this one. He has been getting his amalgams out slowly (1 quadrant per 6 months), but he's being stubborn about finishing this, including the gold crown, because all the dental work messes up his 'bite'. He doesn't have a lot of time to chelate, either. He had biocompatibility testing done and is very sensitive to Hg, as I am, but he didn't have the early years of amalgam exposure I did. I don't like seeing time pass inbetween the exposures he gets with extraction and knowing he can't chelate yet. It's a personal decision to do something about this and there's risk involved, but we chose to do something. Having a mix of gold & amalgam, as my husband has, is quite serious in my opinion. Also, when a number of chronic 'ills' have already set in, we can't expect them to hold steady or improve on their own. It looks like a suspicious test despite not fulfilling the counting rules. It only has 7 above the middle line and would be an ALL-LOW test. This means that the metals could be higher than they are actually reflecting and also implies a gut absorption problem (take Vit c, ascorbic acid form, with each meal or use betaine HCL) to help digestion and absorption. A good digestive enzyme with some betaine HCL might do the trick. Also it has the low lithium in the red, making it most suspicious for mercury toxicity. He should supplement this. Is he emotional labile as lithium is needed to calm that aspect. Though his blood sugar value is within range, I think 22 is heading towards suggesting problems with blood sugar control. His Na/K marker is on the edge of range suggesting a lot of stress (Dr Eck) and thyroid problems (Andy) His other thyroid marker again is within range, but close to the edge. The same is true for his adrenal marker. It implies that it would be valuable to test his thyroid and adrenals with saliva tests. Also test his temperatures. If you can't go down that route get him on some ACE (adrenal cortical extract ? dose) and possible some Ashwaganda (boost thyroid and supports adrenals). I would do this especially while he is going through dental work. I believe it to be CRUCIAL to support these glands during dental work and chelation. Other notes: > He is not sick and functions normally. He is more fatigued than I > would expect, Adrenals >and falls asleep on the sofa most nights, Thyroid support needed. > he has sporadic trigeminal neuralgia, which normally rears its head > when he is stressed. Consider cavitations - has he had extractions that side? Or root canals? >He had an operation for this 11 years ago, but > the pain reoccurs in spite of it. Sometimes he is cross-eyed To me that is significant, though I would not know why. If night visions is affected consider Bilberry as a supplement. > frequent migraine headaches - probably related to the vision problems > Electrical sensitivity when near power lines > Disturbed sleep - he often wakes at 3-4am and can't go back to sleep Liver can be a problem. Also adrenal, low blood sugar - see this page for tips. > Socially withdrawn - finds it difficult to mix. Adrenal and mercury toxicity > Poor digestion See hair test. > He has a mouthful of amalgams, eats normally, takes no supplements. > I am mercury toxic myself, and now very aware of the symptoms, hence > the hair test.
