Hi Group

Has anyone used any type of scale to divide doses? Yesterday I emptied a 100

mg of DMSA on to graph paper and it rolled everywhere. My hands are shaky so

most of it landed on the floor. The vacuum cleaner has now been chelated.

====>LOLOL, you might check the archives, thinking there was some discussion

about this awhile ago, good luck!

Thanks,

----------I haven't, but I remember this post about using a capsule filling

machine and how he measured the DMSA. You also need Vit C powder to get the

correct total for filling them evenly.

What size dose were you trying to get? If you took 3 capsules, or 300 mg, and

divided it into 25 capsules, that would give you 12mg doses. But you would need

a small measuring cup where you can measure only 15ml, and add Vit C to make it

that amount, mix it well, and then fill the capsules. That's how he explains it

in his post. Hope this helps.---------Jackie

-----------It sounds like you have the kind that is in little pellets and not

powder? The powder is easier to do on paper. I think I've heard of people

*counting* the pellets to divide the doses, but that sounds kind of hard too, if

they are tiny and your hands are shakey. I've never seen the pellets, so I have

o idea.----------Jackie

----------Another question. Is there some reason you have to use 100mg

capsules? Because DMSA is available in 25mg capsules too. See the Links

section. I order mine from www.vrp.com -------------Jackie

-------------LOL!!!!!!! I'm sure it wasn't funny to you, but thank you so

much for the chuckle this morning, I just loved it! Made my day!---------Jackie

I'm so sorry for posting this late, but I'm trying to catch up on about 3-4

weeks of posts! Anyway, I saved the info posted by one of the guys awhile back

(I'm so sorry I can't remember which one right now!) and recently ordered the

cap-m-quik kit and decided to order the DMSA from VRP. Below are the two links

plus the wonderful instructions he provided to divide doses!

: Donna.........

DMSA from VRP

http://www.vrp.com/ProductPage.aspx?ProdID=8111

6-100mg capsules = 48-12.5mg capsules with Vitamin C

http://www.cap-m-quik.com/ProductList.asp?CID=111

I use a Cap-M-Quick with size O capsules.

I have found that 15ml = 25 capsules (or 30ml will do all 50

capsules, but I usually make 25 at a time).

So, my method:

-break as much DMSA/DMPS capsules as I want in 25 capsules into a

little measuring cup (e.q.I used 10 100mg caps of DMSA to make 25

40mg caps).

-top off the measuring cup to 15 ml with Vit C powder.

-put this mix in a little jar and shake it up until it is well mixed.

-pour the mix out on the Cap-M-Quick and spread into 25 caps.
