Guest guest
Sheila, I am mercury toxic and experienced symptoms after my filling were removed (and before for that matter)that were similar. I too felt like I was a different person. I was mean to my kids, impatient. I would get weird head pains but they never sayed like you describe. I would suggest a antidepressent or 5 HTP and the supplements in the files. Have you done a hair test? There could be many reason for your symptoms. I am not a Dr but they do sound very like my own. Mercury is a real possibility After supplements and chelation I am much calmer now and back to being the mom I want to be most of the time. Hang in there. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply. I did have a hair test done and missed the counting rules by 1 or 2. My minerals were all deranged and I had alot of the mercury toxicity symptoms. I could handle the tiredness if I just did not have the tingling sensation. Are you taking DMPS or DMSA? And how many rounds have you done? Thanks Sheila > > Sheila, > > I am mercury toxic and experienced symptoms after my filling were > removed (and before for that matter)that were similar. Guest guest
Sheila It all sounds like mercury. You may want to consider a vitamin C IV after your last removal I believe it helped me I had tingling, more like a burning in my legs and hands/arms for the last two years which was a function of bad protocol which I belive caused mercury reistribution. Also about four years ago the back of my neck near my skull would sometimes burn if I was in a stressful period. Even before my amalgams were out, I had burning on the top of my head and have had it post amalgam up until this last round of ALA I am sure it will be back though (the burning) as I have a ways to go yet wiyth clearing our my brain of this I have had suicidal thoughts that have come and gone for the past 6-8 years. It got very bad under bad protocol (cilantro/chorella and heavy sulphur food diet combined with major cleansing diet) just before I found AI and this forum I used to have back problems that wouldn't get fixed with treatments or my ribs would occasionally pop out of joint (vety painful). I think either Huggins or AI says this is commmon. I have had recurring bouts of frozen shoulder In my early thirties (15-20 years ago) I began to get tired more often, couldn;t do too many sports except hiking and bike riding and then the last 5 years my health went off a cliff , so it is not unusual what you are experiencing IMO, for me the chelation and having that final poisonous filling out and then chelating has seemed to help with all of these... particularly the anxiety and bad thoughts My mood is better and i am starting to feel more optimistc even though I do not have a whole lot of energy. However i have been able to go on a weekly 6-7 mile hile in the hills so I know I am getting better I think the last month or so of ALA has helped with the head fog and I have less burning in my head and whole body (legs and arms). I am currently at 12.5 mgs of ALA However the first 3 months post amalgam renoval were pretty bad (anxiety, very tired, moody, easily agitated... discouraged that i was not seeing any improvement) I started (November 28th 2007) with dmsa 6 mgs every 4 hours I believe, as thats all I could handle and it was easiest to obtain after a month or so I got a bad flu bronchitis (but who knows if dmsa created this or not), as it was in the middle of the holidays when germs are on everyone I then switched to dmps and have been using this for the most part for the last 4 months. It seems to work with me better (I have been using about 45 mgs dmps every 8 hours when off ALA and approx 15 mgs every 3 hours when on an ALA round Many of the experts (AI and I believe Huggins) say that once your amalgam fillings are removed, your body releases the stores of mercury from your tissues/cells/organs, so ITS IMPORTANT TO GO SLOW. and be ready for some down days The first four months of chelation were pretty bad (December-March/08 to as I belive my stores of mercury were quite high (25 years of allergy shots and bad fillings). PLUS I TRIED TO INCREASE MY CHELATION DOSAGE TOO FAST (i.e. if it hurts or causes discomfort, it is likely too much or you should consider shortening the time periods of chelation) Supplementing other areas of deficiency are key as per AI and Food eliminations also helped vey much. For me it was ** Adrenals- HC, & Keto DHEA, and Pregnenolone and recently Siberian ginseng (*really improved my energy) ** taurine and zinc ** fish oil and borage oil and flax oil ** vitamin B's, E and a multi ** Vitamin C and magnesium taken with with chelators ** Magnesium ** milk thistle ** coQ-10 ** vitamin D ( I was deficient) ** niacinamide for MCS (Mult Chem sensitivities) ** enzymes and stomach help (HCL, chromium picolinate for high blood sugar and Biotin for yeast (I have candida as do many people) and probiotics (note probiotcs can cause yeast die off-herxheimer efect, if you are just starting Probiotics, you have to go slow in most cases ** L-arginine and lysine for bacterial and viral flare-ups ** oil of oreganol (P73) for viral/bactrial/microbial and yeast ** A few other supports from anderson for liver/kidney and hormonal support oh yes casrtor oil packs seem to really loosen things up in the liver/gallbladder area so these toxins can be removed Food elimination has also seemed to help me immensely ** avoidance/elimination of sulphur foods ** avoiding all procesed foods, milk, bread and sugars (I believe this is helping my yeast) Keep the faith > Ok- I Know I am not going crazy but I sure feel like I am turning > into a totally different person. Guest guest
Just so you know, Sheila and I had a nice chat off-line, so I'm not going to repeat a bunch of stuff here, just make a couple of comments. But I can so relate to some of the stuff she said!---------Jackie In frequent-dose-chelation thedyes wrote: Ok- I Know I am not going crazy but I sure feel like I am turning into a totally different person. I have posted here before so I am sorry if I am repeating myself. I have felt tired and out of sorts for a few years now. ----------I know this feeling, like looking at your life through a glass or from the outside looking in, very strange feeling. Tired and out of sorts probably described me like 10 years ago. Had people convince me it was *just depression*, although I really had nothing to be depressed about!--------Jackie Last Sept, I began to have my fillings replaced- I have one more to go. ----------Hopefully things will get better once they are all out. I remember having that *honeymoon* period once they were all out, and that was great! And at least then you can start chelation, and that should help too.----------Jackie Shortely after replacing a couple of fillings I started to have tingling - numbing filling on the back of my head that would travel to the top and now has settled on my forehead. It constantly tingles(sorta like your foot falling asleep type of feeling). It will not go away. I am very emotional and snap at my children very easily. Before all of this, I was calm and patient. I went to a neurologist and I am going to have two MRIs on Wednesday. I also had lab work for all sorts of stuff. Does anyone think all of this is due to the mercury being released from my fillings? -------It could be. I didn't have those exact symptoms, but I do remember things flaring up during amalgam removal. Lots of VIt C might help some.--------Jackie I went to a holistic dentist who took the necessary precautions. During that time, I was also going to a chiropractor for my back. Maybe this could be a nerve problem also? I am feeling so bad at times- I just don't won't to deal with this anymore and have thoughts of ending my life. This is so not like me- I have three childrens and a wonderful husband. But I am at the end of my rope and feel like I will feel this way forever. ------------I think many of us have had these thoughts and feelings and can relate. Some days it's really hard. But as I told you, I think a sick mom is better than no mom, and there's no way I would ever do that to my kids. So they are what keeps me going on the bad days. And I have had ups and downs, but those kinds of feelings are much better now, with amalgam removal, chelation, and proper supplementation. I think hormones can play a big role in this too. So testing and getting those in balance or supported can help alot also. So just hang in there, and know that we're here for you!----------Jackie Thanks to anyone who reads this and responds. And how many rounds have you done? Thanks Sheila .....hi shelia, I am taking DMSA and ALA (I am 9 months post amalgams) I take 12.5 mg of each. I have done about 16 rounds. I have been sick along time but my symptoms only became debilitating 2 years ago. I have definitely seen an improvement of my symptoms. I used to get flashing blue lights after meals (about an hour after) and head pains at the top of my head. This now rarely happens. Maybe once a month from daily. Hope this helps. You are on the right track. Colette
Guest guest
Sheila, So sorry you are feeling so bad. How long have you been chelating now? At what dose? Does your forehead tingle after chelation more or the same? Have you had any cavitation work? Any other nerve tingling sensations? Are you on the suggested supplements? Lots of questions , sorry. Maybe the MRI will help. > > Ok- I Know I am not going crazy but I sure feel like I am turning into > a totally different person. I have posted here before so I am sorry if > I am repeating myself.
