Guest guest
Deb, I am so thrilled that Joe is doing well. I am concerned that the Onc did say that the neuropathy is going to be around for the winter. How awful!!! But you know that the Onc cannot predict that. Winter is still a ways off. Could be that it may get better before that. I am Praying for that to happen. And of cource am Praying that Joe stays healthy, and for Dani especially who is way to young to be going through all she has endured. Ingrid > Went WONDERFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > The doctor has him scheduled for Ct scans in Oct , after that he has to see the surgeon for a checkup , and since he is seeing the surgeon right after the scans , oncologist is not going to see him for SIX MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! unless of course , bad things show up on those scans BUT THEY ARENT GONNA ~!!!! > He was interested in Joe's syrinx that they found , especially when I asked him if chemo could cause the syrinx(fluid cyst like thing in spinal canal ) , as Joe had no symptoms of this BEFORE chemo. > He says he is going to look into it and see if it can cause it > So anyhow Joe is doing GREAT , the doc said the neuropathy is most likely going to be WORSE in the winter ( we live in Michigan brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) but should be all better by spring!! (joe didnt care for that bit of news lol) > And yes Joe does keep me on my toes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > He is a tough guy with a soft interior (((((shhh dont tell him I told ya) > The other night he sat down with my parents and told my mom if she needed anything to let him know even if its just a cup of coffee ( she started chemo today ) > He is such a softy at heart > > Deb > > > 33yrold husband Joe, was diagnosed with CC in Sept, > resection on Sept 27th 2004 > found mets to the abdominal wall lining 3 lymph nodes involved > open wound from infection until Jan 2005 > Ileostomy reversal Dec 7th 2004 > Chemo regiment begun Jan 2005 > 5fu/levorican/Oxaplatin/ Avastin added Feb 14 2005 (Happy Valentines > Calcium Magnesium added for the Tingles Feb 28 2005 > Ct Scan done March 23rd 2005 , 16 millimeter cyst like object on liver found > April 1 2005 PET scan done awaiting results > April 11 PET SCAN SHOWS NED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > May 9 Plateletts are low 75,000 > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Thanks Ingrid , heck winter is coming earlier and earlier for us here in good ole Michigan , we have seen snow as early as Halloween , I told Joe he is going to have to wear EXTRA layers this winter Dani is doing ok , still suffering with the headaches, went back to school and cant carry a backpack which peeves her off to no end, she doesnt want to be " differrent " The part of the hair where they shaved up top on her head is now at the spikey stage , the rest of her hair is LONG so we have to try to hide the spikes UGH poor kid She goes in Sept 10 for MRI to try to see why she is having the headaches Thanks for thinking of them both Deb Ingrid Lowe lowenco@...> wrote: Deb, I am so thrilled that Joe is doing well.
