Guest guest
I am going to an Irish Festival in Kansas City, MO. My son is footing the bill, a belated Xmas gift. The original plan was to go to festival in Calif the end of Sept, and then tour a bit of wine country. But he was having trouble finding cheap tickets and the festival was charging for everything. Then I saw the advert for KC fest and saw that a couple of same performers would be at KC Fest and didn't have to pay extra to see them so thought this is THE PLACE to go. Closer, easier to fly to etc. So we are booked and I am ready to start packing. We fly out of of Waco on Friday, lay over in Dallas, and then on to KC. He said he would rent a car so that we could do some sight seeing as well. That would be cool. Have driven through KC but years ago on our way from Germany most likely to next duty station. LOL.. http://www.kcirishfest.com/entertainment.htm Here is the link if you want to check it out. Have a really super line up of Celtic groups.. Sunday night will be a bang up show with one headliner after another. Cherish The Ladies is awesome group of talented women. Eileen Ivers is Canadian, as are The Cottars, and Barra MacNeils - for Cape Breton on the east cost of Canada. That is a whole nother form of celtic music.. Very lively. The fiddlers dance while they fiddle. ... I am just so excited to be able to see all this talent at one location. Well darn, trying to find the Denver song and can't find it. Found my cassette tape of it. The album was entitled Some Days Are Diamonds but couldn't find it listed anywhere. Was dated 1981. Not on any of the compilations of greatest hits that I could find. Spose it wasn't one of his greatest hits, but I liked the song. Sure sad about Jennings, it was only 4 mons ago that he announced he had lung cancer. Must have been pretty bad to get him so quick. He was quite a guy. Hope you are feeling better... I have to get bloodwork done this morning but too late now, so will go around lunch time, probably find a parking place easier if some of folks are at lunch. LOL... Guest guest
Oh my gosh Jolene, I envy you! I'll save this site and look thru it well later. I love Celtic music, the dances, and the beautiful soothing stuff, which helped me so much after my son died. I envy you to pieces, I have many Celtic CD's. It's one of my favorite types of music, also have some love songs, beautiful. Have a wonderful time, your son is so cool! ~Dianna Jolene Ehret jehret@...> wrote: I am going to an Irish Festival in Kansas City, MO. My son is footing the bill, a belated Xmas gift.
